Rael Katz has been an active member in the Vancouver Moishe House for one and a half years. He was born in Johannesburg, South Africa and immigrated at the age of 6 to Vancouver, BC. During his time as a student at UBC he was very involved in Jewish Leadership through Hillel and was a vocal advocate both in the greater Jewish community and the Student Government at UBC. After graduating in 2011 with a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies he worked in Victoria, BC as the UVic Hillel Director where he strengthened the skills that make him a Jewish leader in Vancouver today. He is now working on a path to Medical School in Canada. When he is not Jewing-out he loves snowboarding, playing Soccer, Hockey, Basketball and anything else that keeps him active.
